Big Bass Fishin
Big Bass Fishin is one of those games that sneaks up on you. It looks simple at first glance, just cast and reel, but the timing on the strike and the pull-back tug of war have a nice rhythm once you get a feel for it. I ended up playing it more than I planned, mostly because a single session is short and satisfying.
The controls are all one-handed. You tap to cast, wait for a bite, then tap again to set the hook and hold to reel. Different spots and lures change what shows up, so there's a light layer of decision-making under the calm surface. It never gets frantic, which is exactly why it works so well as a wind-down game before bed.
What surprised me most was how good the audio is. The water sounds and the little splash when a fish surfaces make the whole thing feel unhurried. If you want something you can pick up for two minutes or twenty, this fits both.
