Five arcade racers that actually feel good on a touchscreen

Touchscreen racing gets a bad reputation, and honestly a lot of it is deserved. But a handful of games design around the limitation instead of fighting it, and those play great.

The trick is forgiving steering and a focus on flow over precision. Neon Drift Legends nails this by making drifts the whole point, so you're never punished for the imprecision of touch input.

I also look for games that let you turn off tilt controls. Tilt sounds fun for about ten minutes and then your arms get tired. Give me on-screen steering with good assists any day.

Frame rate matters more than graphics here. A racer that dips under 30fps in corners feels awful no matter how pretty it is. Test the busy tracks before you judge.

My advice: play the first three tracks of anything before deciding. The tutorial track always feels fine; the real handling shows up when speed climbs.
