Star Crumb Chase is old-school arcade energy in the best way. You run, you jump, you dodge, and the whole thing speeds up until your thumbs can't keep up. Runs are short and the restart is instant, so the just-one-more-go pull is strong.
The controls are two-button simple but the level design squeezes a surprising amount out of them. Later stages start layering hazards in ways that made me laugh out loud when I finally cleared them.
No fluff, no long menus. Open it, play, close it. That's exactly what I want from an arcade game on a phone.
